Description
Rectangular oven plate with a profiled frame containing the coat of arms of the Margraviate of Lower Lusatia. The shield shows the Lusatian bull facing to the right, surmounted by a helmet with a count's crown and an eagle protome as a crest. Acanthus tendrils cover the helmet.
Provenance
The panel probably comes from the Ständehaus in Lübben, which was completed in 1717. Formerly the Lübben local history museum. The collection was probably transferred to an inner-city relocation site in 1945. Probably lost during the war in 1945.
