Description
Hanger for serving beer in the town of Lübben. An oval cartouche on both sides of a red-painted, back-visored frame. Inscription on the front: “Hier ist / gut Braun / Bier”. On the reverse: The Prussian eagle. According to Mirow, it dates back to the time when Lower Lusatia belonged to Saxony (1815). The black eagle is a later addition.
Provenance
Formerly the Lübben local history museum. The collection was probably transferred to an inner-city relocation site in 1945. Probably lost during the war in 1945.
